Virzi Jewellery has a vision; create unique pieces, handmade, one by one, with the tools of immensely talented artisans. Jewelry made in Portugal by jewelers using the ancient "cire perdue" jewelry technique, giving the metal its shapes and elegance in sculptural bronze and silver figures - parts of Marcella Virzi's dreams. Create luxury “bijoux”, made in the same way as high jewelry, and lined, delicate. Pieces made to enchant, full of beauty hidden in their meanings. Pieces that provoke a thought. A question. And through the answers, an encounter. Art that manifests itself in wearable pieces that carry a sense of journeys, travels, and experiences. Consciously made, to collect and last forever, across generations.

Marcella Virzi

Marcella Virzi is a designer, creator, stylist, poet, photographer and director. A strong name in Brazilian fashion, it has established itself as the go-to brand for Rio de Janeiro's couture, walked the most important fashion catwalks and won awards such as the Global Design Awards. Rihana, Lady Gaga and Kate Moss have paraded around with their creations (see some of their work at www.marcellavirzi.com). With a family linked to the world of art, inspiration has always surrounded her, with Egypt and the Art Deco Surrealist movements as the main references for her creations. Artists like Salvador Dalí and Marina Abramovich make you want to follow the perceptions of your dreams and bring the exuberance of ancient arts into the present. Her soundtrack cannot miss the elegant structures of composer and pianist Philip Glass. Her Virzi project, among the different guises she has already taken on, led Marcella to team up with Joana Agostinho, at the end of 2022, where in partnership they dedicate themselves to jewelry, Virzi Jewellery.

Joana Agostinho

Joana Agostinho studied Design in Portugal and later traveled to London where she studied fashion for 2 years. She was a Fashion Design teacher at the Lisbon Fashion School for 14 years. Throughout her unpredictable and exciting career, Joana was also invited to be an actor's manager, created a unisex clothing line and opened a vegan restaurant. After deciding to take a break from her work as a teacher, Joana met Marcella Virzi, from which the Virzi project came about, to which she decided to give herself 100%. If for Marcella the night is the best companion, for Joana it is during the day that she blooms best. Method and organization are characteristics that are strong in her personality, but a perfect day for her cannot do without her family and, of course, a good night's sleep. Japan is one of the biggest influences on her work and on her way of being, with the master of Japanese design, Yohji Yamamoto, one of her biggest references.
